Trailblazer Awards 2021 Open for Submissions

 The Trailblazer Awards celebrate young talent in the book industry

London, 19 October 2020. The Trailblazer Awards open for submissions today, recognising book industry professionals aged 30 or under who are demonstrating innovation, flair and ambition in the book industry.

Now in their sixth year, the awards are run by The London Book Fair, in partnership with the Publishers Association, supported by the Society of Young Publishers and BookBrunch.  The awards are open to those in any part of the book world under the age of 30 (as of 11 March 2021).

Five winners will be selected by a judging panel and announced in early 2021 by The London Book Fair, together with SYP, BookBrunch and the PA.

How to enter:

Entrants can enter themselves or nominate a friend or colleague who they believe deserves recognition, by completing a short entry form on the LBF website. Entrants and nominees will also be invited to submit an optional 60-second video to support their application.

Applications will close on 27 November 2020.

Criteria:

Nominees must have demonstrated innovation, creativity, a can-do attitude, passion for the industry and for winning, ambition, and a desire to be the best at what they do.

Eligibility:

  • Nominees must be under 30, as of 11 March 2021
  • They must work in the UK book ecosystem
  • Interns are eligible, but not those in full time education
