At 9.30am the 2017 edition of The Quantum Conference, held in collaboration with Nielsen Book got underway. Refined for 2017 the conference had a renewed focus on consumers, audiences, partnerships and more.
Throughout the day the packed audience received invaluable data, actionable insights and inspiration from a stellar line up of speakers.

The agenda…
Today was all about the consumer and how different audiences discover, purchase and interact with content.
Starting off the morning was a look back at the 2016 book market with Nielsen Book Research’s UK Research Director, Steve Bohme.

Beyond the Transaction…
Next up was Sophie Corcut of GDR Creative Intelligence, Sophie’s session on growing affinity with today’s high expectation consumers did not disappoint.

Later in the day it was time for a look at the power of video when Sara Lloyd of Pan Macmillan and Consultant Katie Rode took to the stage. We chatted to Sara and Katie following the session for an overview:
Making the most of Facebook and Google…
Kicking off the afternoon was Facebook, Google and Harper Collins, who provided attendees with expert insight on how to get the most out of social platforms.

Towards the end of the day Founder & CEO of Bloomsbury Publishing, Nigel Newton and Dominique Raccah, Publisher and CEO of Sourcebooks were on stage. The London Book Fair Director Jacks Thomas was also on hand to chair a fascinating discussion with these industry figure heads.
