Day two of #LBF17 was once again a hive of activity. As industry professionals filled the halls of this global marketplace for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film and digital channels.

Author of the Day…
Market Focus Author of the Day was Olga Tokarczuk, adored by her readers and lauded by critics and literature scholars; Olga is the author of nine novels and several collections of short stories and essays, has won many awards, and is the most widely translated Polish female writer. Her books have been translated into twenty-nine languages, including Chinese, Estonian, and Japanese, and translations of her latest novels are soon to be appearing in Fitzcarraldo Editions.
Earlier today she was in conversation with Rosie Goldsmithon over at the English PEN Literary Salon. We spoke to Olga following to find out more about why she is here.
LBF International Excellence Awards…
Last night saw a grand celebration of publishing and related activities outside the UK when The International Excellence Awards, held in partnership with The Publishers Association and sponsored by Hytex, took place.
