What did you read it on?

Good old-fashioned paper.

You are stranded on a desert island. What three books would you want with you?

Anna Karenina, Vanity Fair and The Lord of the Rings (definitely one long book).

Foyles in London because I LOVE getting lost in a huge bookshop and discovering new things.

What would be the title of your autobiography?

Sorry, I Finished the Biscuits.

Which great novel have you tried to read but failed?

War and Peace. I just couldn’t read about military tactics for a second longer!

Can’t remember if I cried much growing up, but as an adult it was A Girl is a Half-formed Thing by Eimear McBride.

What was your favourite childhood book?

The Lottie Project by Jacqueline Wilson.

If you could tell your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Just. Stop. Worrying.
