Shortlist and winners to be announced at ceremony at The London Book Fair, presented by Children’s Author of the Day Cressida Cowell
The London Book Fair announced today the 2020 UK Book Blog Awards longlist, recognising the top book vloggers, bloggers, Instagrammers and podcasters in the country.
This year’s longlist include: blogs pairing books with travel destinations (The Book Trail), interviewing children’s authors (Bluebird Reviews) and sharing bookshop recommendations (Julia’s Bookcase); podcasts challenging opinions of women’s literature (Sentimental Garbage), championing children’s titles (Down the Rabbit Hole) and celebrating books from the past which deserve greater recognition (Backlisted); vloggers known for their prize coverage (Lonesome Reader), exploring literary classics (LucytheReader) and offering writing advice (The Book Belle); and Instagrammers reviewing picture books (Mini and the Whale), promoting new releases and beloved classics side by side (The Halcyon Days of Summer) and bringing together the influencer community through meet ups and book clubs (What Sally Read Next).
Shortlists and winners will be announced at The London Book Fair, with a ceremony taking place at 3:30pm on 12th March 2020, hosted by LBF Children’s Author of the Day and Children’s Laureate Cressida Cowell (How to Train Your Dragon and The Wizards of Once).
The judging panel, made up of experts from across the book industry, are Paul Black (Publicity Director at Andersen Press), Rosie Beaumont-Thomas (Events & Outreach Manager at Royal Society of Literature) and Shahroo Izadi (author of The Last Diet and The Kindness Method).

Winners of the 2019 UK Book Blog Awards included the What’s Hot? blog, Bookstagrammer Abbie Walker, and YouTuber Rose Reads. Last year’s Awards also introduced the Book Podcaster of the Year award, which was taken home by Mostly Lit. Holly Bourne, bestselling author and last year’s Author of the Day, hosted the awards.
