What are you reading right now?

I’m about to finish Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. I originally started it as a book club read and now really want to finish it before the film comes out in the UK. It’s a really fun, extravagant story that offers you a glimpse into a very different way of life – the perfect summer read. I am also really into gothic and horror at the moment so Sarah Waters’ The Little Stranger and Laura Purcell’s upcoming release The Corset are next on my TBR pile.

What’s the best bit of your job?

I work primarily with our overseas exhibitors, which requires me to keep up with international markets and educate myself on trends and challenges across territories. I find this bird’s eye view of the industry fascinating and love playing a part in bringing the global publishing industry together at LBF.
What’s on your to do list at the moment?

We have just opened bookings for our Illustrators’ Gallery which we are running in collaboration with the Association of Illustrators. If you haven’t visited it in the past, do add it to your list for 2019. There is such a variety of talented illustrators on display. It’s one of my favourite feature areas at the Fair. Other than that, preparing for Frankfurt Book Fair is another priority at the moment. These things always come around so much quicker than you think!
