The London Book Fair’s Monday Conference, Quantum: Aligned Creativity, Informed by Data (Monday 11 March 2019) will provide insight into publishing trends, audio and TV & Film. The afternoon programme will be focussed on TV & Film deals, programmed with LBF speaker partner BAFTA.

Quantum will provide new and exclusive research into trends in the market, including audio and TV & Film adaptations from data partner Nielsen Book.

The conference will feature keynotes from Stephen Page, Faber & Faber, and futurist Alexandra Levit, plus actor Christopher Eccleston, on the rise of audio. NYT Bestselling Author AJ Hartley will also appear at the conference.

Speakers from the TV and film world will discuss what producers and video on demand (SVODs such as Netflix) companies are looking for, as well as insight from the children’s entertainment sector. Quantum will hear from BBC Studios’ Anna Rafferty on emerging trends, Simon Shaps, former ITV Director of Television now at Georgina Capel, Stephen Smallwood, Producer of Sky Atlantic’s Emmy Award and Golden Globes nominated Patrick Melrose, and many success stories between publishing and TV & Film industries.

Orna O’Brien, Conference Manager at LBF commented: “TV & Film is an industry undergoing seismic change and we are delighted our partners at BAFTA have helped us programme an insightful look at the opportunities for international publishers in this change. This is a chance to see where publishing is going. Quantum will also reveal exclusive research by our partners Nielsen Book, and it will provide global delegates with insight and trends on audio and publishing.

Returning for its ninth year, Quantum gives delegates an insight into the current state of the international publishing market, future trends and a deep dive into audio books. With film & TV taking centre stage, the second half of the day at Quantum 2019 will be solely focussed on film & TV, spanning adaptations, book IP, publishers as media companies and what producers are looking for.

Delegates will have the choice to attend the full programme and benefit from a packed programme of global publishing voices, inspiration, motivation, and case studies, or attend the afternoon session alone. A Quantum ticket also provides free of charge entry to The London Book Fair on any or all days, 12-14 March 2019. Ticket prices start at £249 for a full day, and are available from http://quantum.londonbookfair.co.uk/entry.
