LBF opens submissions for its Charity of the Year 2015

The London Book Fair (LBF) is pleased to announce that submissions are now open for its Charity of the Year 2015.

The London Book Fair Charity of the Year 2015 will be supported by LBF at the Fair and beyond. The LBF team will work with the selected charity to maximise their presence at the Fair, including receiving a stand in the charities pavilion. The chosen charity will also be offered marketing, PR and social media support enabling them to extend their reach to LBF’s extensive international networks. The partnership will offer the charity privileged access to the international publishing community.

The London Book Fair Charity of the Year 2014 was Book Aid International.

Alison Hubert, Director of Book Aid International said: “In the year of our 60th anniversary, being The London Book Fair Charity of the Year in 2014 was a wonderful opportunity. The exposure that the partnership with LBF gave us was invaluable for building and strengthening relationships with the publishing sector. Thanks to UK publishers, this year we hope to be able to send libraries in Africa close to one million new, relevant books.”

The London Book Fair (LBF) welcomes applications from publishing-related charities. The closing date is Friday 14 November 2014 and the successful applicant for Charity of the Year 2015 will be announced in December 2014.
