Tuesday 9 October 2012, Frankfurt: The London Book Fair (LBF) is delighted to announce a brand new partnership with the International Publishers Association (IPA), which will see a one day education conference run alongside the Fair in 2013.
The Conference will focus on the measures of educational outcomes, the effectiveness of learning resources and learning technologies, and the public policies that have proven to improve education.
Participants will include national education policy makers; content creators, including publishers, philanthropists, internet start ups and technology providers; as well as academics dealing with education, educational policies, learning, reading and related fields.
The conference will take place on Wednesday 17 April 2013 in the Earls Court Conference Centre.
Ian Houghton, Portfolio Director, Reed Exhibitions, said: “In the light of the growing importance of international education metrics, this conference perfectly complements The London Book Fair. It will help the educational content industry to reach out to new partners to achieve education success.”
The event will be fully managed and operated by Reed Exhibitions in conjunction with the IPA, providing strategic programme and speaker guidance, with four sessions across the day, which will include panel debates and case study presentations. YS Chi, IPA President, will introduce the conference, outlining the objectives for the day.
Jens Bammel, Secretary General of the International Publishers Association, said: “We are delighted this new type of conference will be launched at The London Book Fair. There is a real buzz around the question of how content providers, new technologies and policy makers can improve educational outcomes. We think The London Book Fair is an ideal partner for this ground-breaking event.”
